In terms of the qualities of a good leader, there is interpersonal behavior- how a leader influences others within an organization, and then there is the business prowess required to implement the right strategy and structure to achieve a positive outcome- in other words, what a leader emphasizes. While Jobs scored in the top 10% on the organizational "what" but below average on the interpersonal "how" and somehow still had a highly productive team, this is not usually the case. Good leaders usually need to simultaneously develop as a "people leader" AND as an innovative, strategic leader skilled at execution.
