“Tell your loved ones you love them every time you get the chance and love them with everything you have.”

That’s an excerpt from a must read message on living written by a 27-year-old Australian woman dying of cancer.

Holly Butcher understood only too well how precious each day of life is:

“I’m watching my body waste away before my eyes with nothing I can do about it. And all I wish for now is that I could have one more birthday or Christmas with my family, or just one more day with my partner or dog. Just one more.”

Her emotional note has captured the hearts of everyone who has read it. Her advice on getting the most out of life includes:

“Talk to your friends. Put down your phone. Are they okay?”

“Seriously, do what makes your heart happy.”

“Work to live, don’t live to work.”

“Listen to music. Really listen. Music is therapy. Old is best.”

Holly’s life was cut short this past week, but the message she has left behind is worth listening to.

“Really listen.”
