How old are you when you look in the mirror? A WWII vet named Gardner told photographer Tom Hussey Tom Hussey that he still felt young and that he really couldn’t comprehend how he made it to 80 years old already.
This gave Hussey an idea and led him to create a photo concept to express what Gardner was feeling. He decided to show Garner looking in the mirror, but the reflection he sees looks the way he feels: 25 years old. An Alzheimer’s drug company was impressed with Hussey’s work and hired him to do an entire series of the elderly reflection portraits.
