Miralax, a Drug for Adults, Is Popular as Children’s Remedy

Parents are questioning the long term effects of Miralax, an often used laxative containing the chemical polyethylene glycol. This drug for constipation was never intended for those under 17 or for long term use -- long term studies on side effects have not even been done on children -- yet pediatricians continue to prescribe it.
